Information We Collect

We may collect your name, contact details, appointment and payment information, communications, consultation answers and treatment history. Where needed to provide a treatment safely, we may also record health information such as allergies, medication, medical conditions, pregnancy, sensitivities, contraindications and previous reactions. All payment and card details are processed through Fresha and no card details are stored or managed through Cedar Beauty.

We receive information directly from you and, when you book online, through Fresha.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to manage bookings and payments; provide consultations and treatments safely; maintain treatment and patch-test records; respond to enquiries and complaints; meet insurance, accounting and legal obligations; improve our services; and, where you have chosen to receive it, send Cedar Beauty news and offers.

Our Lawful Bases

We process booking, contact and treatment information because it is necessary to provide the service you request. We process records where necessary to meet legal obligations and for our legitimate interests in running a safe, accountable business. We use consent for optional marketing and, where required, for special-category health information. You may withdraw consent at any time, although Cedar Beauty may be unable to provide a treatment safely without relevant consultation information.

Health and Special Category Information

Some treatments require us to understand relevant health information. We collect only what is needed to assess suitability, identify contraindications, carry out the treatment safely and provide appropriate aftercare. This information is treated as confidential and access is limited.

Bookings, Payments and Other Providers

Online bookings are provided by Fresha, which processes information under its own privacy terms. We may also use trusted providers for email, website hosting, accounting, payment processing or professional advice. We share only the information needed for those services and require providers to protect it. We may disclose information where required by law, a regulator, insurer or court.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected and to meet applicable tax, insurance, professional and legal requirements. Retention periods may differ for booking, payment, consultation, treatment and marketing records. Information is securely deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.

Marketing

Cedar Beauty sends marketing only where you have asked to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the option in a message or contacting abi@cedar-beauty.co.uk. Withdrawing from marketing does not affect appointment or service communications.

Website Data and Cookies

This website may receive basic technical information needed to deliver pages securely, such as IP address, browser type and request logs. The site does not currently set advertising cookies. We use optional Google Analytics 4 only with your consent. We ask before loading it or setting analytics cookies. It measures page visits and interactions such as booking-link, gift-voucher and contact clicks; these clicks do not confirm a completed booking or purchase. Analytics events do not include names, email addresses, form entries or the full page query string. You can withdraw consent at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. Analytics cookies expire after 180 days unless renewed by a subsequent visit. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. When you choose analytics, campaign labels may be retained for your browser session and passed to Fresha links to help attribute visits. These labels must not contain personal information. Following a link to Fresha, Instagram, Facebook or another external service takes you to that provider, whose privacy and cookie terms apply.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we review how information is handled and restrict access to those who need it.
